Modelling Secure Behaviour
Modelling Secure Behavior as a Business Enabler
Modelling secure behavior refers to the actions and leadership demonstrated by executives, managers, and employees in consistently following and promoting good information security practices. A strong security culture begins at the top, where leaders set the tone by embedding security into decision-making, daily operations, and organizational values. When leaders visibly model secure behavior, employees are more likely to adopt secure practices, reducing human-related cyber risks and strengthening the organization's overall security posture. Security therefore becomes a shared business responsibility rather than solely an IT function.
